Tested Edworking for 3 weeks with a 6-person remote team

Honest take: Edworking surprised me. The pitch is ambitious — one tool for everything at $5/user. And for the first 48 hours, it felt like a steal. Tasks, docs, video calls, chat, all in one place. There were some rough edges early on — invitation emails were flaky and a sprint reset after an update. But the team shipped fixes fast, and the core experience is solid now. The concept is genuinely ahead of its time — especially the Stories feature for async video updates, which is brilliant and nobody else has. The execution has improved dramatically in recent updates, and the small team means they actually listen to user feedback. For freelancers, small agencies, and remote teams under 20 people, Edworking is a genuine bargain — you get 80% of what ClickUp offers at half the price. For larger orgs, evaluate carefully. I went from skeptic to daily user. The Stories feature alone is worth trying it for — no other PM tool has anything like it.

💡 Pro Tips

  • Invite via direct link, not email. Email invitations are unreliable.
  • Use Stories for standups. Replace daily Zoom standups with 30s video Stories.
  • Check AppSumo for lifetime deals. Eliminates monthly costs entirely.
  • Start with tasks + chat only. Add docs and video later.
  • Export docs to PDF regularly as backup. The platform is young.

The Verdict

Edworking punches well above its weight. The vision is right — one affordable tool that replaces your entire SaaS stack. The Stories feature is genuinely innovative. The pricing is unbeatable at $5/user. The recent updates have ironed out most early bugs, and the value proposition is hard to beat. For freelancers, remote teams, and budget-conscious startups, it is a no-brainer — the free tier costs nothing. For teams over 20 who need enterprise features, ClickUp is still the safer bet. But Edworking is closing the gap fast — and at $5/user, the risk is basically zero.
