Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
The short version
We collect basic analytics to understand how people use Memvers. We do not store personal data. We do not sell anything to anyone. You do not need an account to use the site. That is it.
What we collect
We use Vercel Web Analytics to track page views, traffic sources, and general usage patterns. This helps us understand which guides are useful and where to focus our efforts. Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use cookies for tracking, does not collect personal information, and all data is aggregated. We cannot identify individual visitors from this data.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information through normal use of the site. There are no login forms, user accounts, or registration flows.
Cookies
Memvers uses minimal cookies. Here is what may be set:
- Essential cookies โ Basic functionality like remembering if you dismissed a banner. These are first-party and session-based.
- Analytics โ Vercel Analytics does not set tracking cookies. Page view data is collected via lightweight scripts without persistent identifiers.
- Affiliate cookies โ When you click an affiliate link to Fiverr, Upwork, Toptal, or another partner platform, that platform may set its own cookies on their domain to attribute the referral. These cookies are set by the third party, not by Memvers, and are governed by their respective privacy policies.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking of any kind.
Third-party services
We use a small number of third-party services to run the site. Each has its own privacy practices:
- Vercel โ Hosts the website and provides analytics. Vercel may process IP addresses in server logs for infrastructure purposes (DDoS protection, rate limiting). See Vercel's privacy policy.
- Vercel Web Analytics โ Collects anonymous, aggregated page view data. No cookies, no personal data. See Vercel Analytics privacy.
- Affiliate platforms (Fiverr, Upwork, Toptal, and others) โ When you click an affiliate link, you leave Memvers and enter that platform's site. From that point, their privacy policy applies. We do not receive any personal data about you from these platforms. We only receive aggregated reports (e.g., total clicks, total conversions).
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone
- We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any ad-tech tracking
- We do not track you across other websites
- We do not require account creation to use the site
- We do not store passwords, payment info, or sensitive personal data
- We do not build user profiles or behavioral fingerprints
Data retention
Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing personal to retain. Vercel Analytics data is aggregated and retained according to Vercel's standard retention policies. Server logs with IP addresses are automatically rotated and deleted by Vercel's infrastructure.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). These include the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and the right to object to processing.
In practice, because Memvers does not collect or store personal data, there is very little for us to provide, correct, or delete. But if you believe we hold any data about you and want it removed, we will handle it promptly.
Our legal basis for processing the minimal data we do handle (anonymous analytics, server logs) is legitimate interest in understanding site usage and maintaining security.
Children
Memvers is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the โLast updatedโ date at the top. We are not going to suddenly start tracking you. If our approach to privacy ever changes significantly, we will make it obvious.
