Terms of Use
Last updated: March 2026
Acceptance of terms
By accessing and using Memvers (memvers.com), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. It is straightforward: use the site, these terms apply.
What Memvers is
Memvers is an informational website that helps you decide whether to hire a freelancer or do something yourself. We provide guides, comparisons, cost breakdowns, and DIY walkthroughs across gaming, AI, creative, and tech categories.
We are not a marketplace. We do not connect you directly with freelancers. We do not process payments or mediate disputes. We point you in the right direction and give you the information to make a good decision.
Not professional advice
Our content is for informational purposes only. Nothing on Memvers constitutes financial advice, legal advice, business consulting, or professional guidance of any kind. We do our best to provide accurate, well-researched information, but you should always verify current pricing and terms directly with the relevant platform or service provider before making decisions.
Affiliate links and how we earn
Memvers contains affiliate links. When you click these links and make a purchase or sign up for a service, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This is how we keep the site running and the content free.
Affiliate relationships are disclosed on every page that contains them. For full details on which platforms we work with and how commissions work, see our Affiliate Disclaimer.
Third-party platforms
When you hire a freelancer through Fiverr, Upwork, Toptal, or any other platform linked from Memvers, your transaction is entirely between you and that platform. Memvers is not a party to any freelancer-client agreement. We are not responsible for:
- The quality of work delivered by freelancers
- Disputes between you and a freelancer or platform
- Refunds, cancellations, or payment issues
- Changes to platform pricing, policies, or availability
- Any loss or damage resulting from using a linked service
DIY at your own risk
Our DIY guides are provided as educational content. We recommend tools and outline steps based on our research, but results depend on your skill level, time investment, and specific situation. If you follow a guide and something does not work out, that is on you. We cannot be held liable for outcomes of DIY projects undertaken based on our content.
Disclaimer of warranties
Memvers is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee that any information on the site is complete, accurate, or current at the time you read it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Memvers and its operator (Diteck, Zurich) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, your reliance on any information provided, or your use of any third-party service linked from Memvers.
This includes, without limitation, loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the site shall not exceed CHF 100.
Accuracy of information
We try to keep all pricing, ratings, and platform information accurate and up-to-date. However, freelancer prices fluctuate, tool subscriptions change, and platform features evolve. We update our guides regularly but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy. When in doubt, check the source directly.
Intellectual property
All content on Memvers — including text, graphics, logos, illustrations, and the overall design — is owned by Memvers (operated by Diteck) or used under license. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.
You are welcome to link to our pages. You may quote short excerpts for editorial purposes with proper attribution. But copying entire guides, scraping content, or reposting our work is not allowed.
User conduct
You agree not to use Memvers for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, introduce malicious code, or interfere with the site's operation. Automated scraping or data extraction without permission is prohibited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Memvers shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
